Arjun jena is an acclaimed cinematographer from chennai, India. He joined Mr.P.C.Sreeram, the high profile master cinematographer during 1990 as an assistant. He worked with him for the films like Mani Rathnam’s Tiruda Thiruda, G.V Films  May Madham, Padmashree Kamala Hasan’s Thevar magan, Passa Valai, Kurudhipunnal.  Later, during 1996 he worked with Cinematographer Jeeva as an operating Cameraman for Tamil films like Indian, Vaali, Khushi, Ulhasham, Run and Hindi films Zor,Dillagi, Hera Pheri, Tera ghar mera ghar.

 

Arjun Jena started his independent career in Cinematography with Director Kathir for his tamil feature film ''KADHAL VIRUS'' in the year 2000,which was released in 2002. He has been nominated for his very first film “​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​KADHAL VIRUS” at the National Award and has been Awarded state award from Tamilnadu state Government, for the same in the year 2002. Arjun Jena's very first experiment with the short film Silent Screem Directed by Vikram in the year 1998,gave immence satisfection as a technician when it was awarded National Award for Best Short Film in Three categories for social awarness.

 

 Arjun Jena is highly acclaimed in south india as Cinematographer for his special effects cinematography, lighting,DI/ tone grading & dynamic composition to creat poetic visuals for story telling, which are highly professional in standard.

 

Other  films that Arjun Jena has worked on as a Cinematographer include Oka Oorilo [Telugu film] Directed by Ramesh Varma , AEGAN​​ [Tamil film] Directed by Raju Sundaram which was a big commercial hit for tamil superstar Ajith in the year 2008,Critically accaimed      LOVE KHICHDI [Hindi film]  Directed by Srinivas Vasyamand ALA MODHALAINDI  [Telugu film] a romantic comedy Directed by Nandini Reddy.

 

ALA MODHALAINDI was released on 21st jan,2011 was a huge hit of the year.
